Present self-esteem is the result of your past experiences. If you are attached to unprocessed negative past experiences and consider yourself not worthy, it is one of the biggest signs you are suffering from low self-esteem.

Due to our hectic and busy routines, we can not pay attention to our self-awareness. Sitting peacefully and following your conscious thoughts will allow you to observe your inner self. Self-awareness allows us to accept ourselves.

A true self-understanding is a key to clarify your inner doubts and misunderstanding about yourself. Those misconceptions about yourself were creating self-doubts and low self-esteem.

How to Meditate to Enhance Self-Esteem

First, you need to find a calm place to sit. Start taking long breaths with the nose and exhale the breaths with the mouth. Focus on your inhaling, exhaling, and the flow of your breaths. 

Take a breath slowly and count for 1 to 5. Hold on to your breaths for 5 seconds and release them through your mouth slowly.

While breathing practice, focus on your breath and heart. After a few minutes, you will be successful in controlling your thoughts. You will face distraction with various other thoughts coming into your mind.

Do not punish yourself because of random thoughts that distract your mind. It’s common to face difficulty controlling your thoughts during meditation. While focusing on your breaths, start saying some words in your heart.

Those magical words are: I am confident, I believe in myself, I am kind and creative, and I accept what I am.

These words will create a sense of kindness and calmness in your inner self.

This activity will help you more in the morning. After meditation, you can go into your practical workspace with a smile and confidence. It will help you throughout the day and strengthen your belief in yourself for the long term.

Why Does Someone Lose Self-esteem?

We become what we feel and what type of company we have in our life. In life, we have to face various people who have some negative thought patterns and that will have a bad effect on us. 

That company can be our family, friends, or our co-workers. When people don’t encourage us and underestimate our abilities, we start self-doubting ourselves.
